The Story Behind the Day (a few standout moments we had the chance to witness): What an incredible day this was for our team! Alysa and Coleman booked our Signature Package, and from the moment we arrived, we knew it was going to be special. When our lead videographer, Patrick, pulled up to Separk Mansion around 1 p.m., the rain had been steady for hours and more was on the radar. Working alongside Anna Claire from Thin Space Productions, we quickly reworked the timeline to make sure Alysa and Coleman still got the best possible footage and photos. At Total Weddings, our goal is always to keep couples present in the moment, so adapting and problem-solving on the fly is just part of what we do to make sure every wedding day feels effortless for them. Every detail of this wedding reflected intentionality and love. From the gorgeous florals to the custom ring box Coleman picked out for Alysa, nothing was left unthought. After slipping into her dress, Alysa shared a sweet moment with her mom, who helped button the back, a scene that felt tender and timeless. Then came her first look with her dad, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room (even some of us behind the cameras teared up). When it came time for the first look with Coleman, it was pure magic. He couldn’t stop smiling as Alysa twirled in her dress, and from that moment on, they hardly let go of each other. Though the rain persisted through the afternoon, Separk Mansion’s sunroom, with its elegant black-and-white checkered floor and soft natural light, made for stunning indoor portraits. Then, in the most perfect twist of timing, the rain stopped and the sun broke through just ten minutes before the ceremony. The venue staff, coordinator, and even a kind in-law husband jumped in to wipe down over 175 chairs. It was one of those simple, beautiful moments that perfectly captured the spirit of teamwork and love surrounding the day. We were especially grateful Alysa and Coleman chose to include full ceremony coverage in their package. Their personal vows were heartfelt and genuine, some of the sweetest we’ve heard, and it was such a joy to capture the way they spoke about their love story. And the reception? Absolutely electric. The dance floor was packed from the first song, and our team had to weave through the crowd (sometimes with elbows!) to capture all the fun and energy.
