The forces of the immaterium flowed outward almost uncontrollably, engulfing everything and everyone in their path. Across the galaxy, surges of psychic activity are observed, and no race or people remain untouched by this event—but they all reacted differently. Some gained new powers, others were weakened, and still others attempted to seize the initiative and exploit the situation to achieve their own goals.
