NON-COORDINATION EXPOSED! ANTHON VAS GIVES NHAI 30-DAY DEADLINE FOR VIDYANAGAR ACCESS ROAD

The ongoing access road issue at Vidyanagar, Cortalim has exposed a lack of coordination among various agencies involved in the National Highway expansion works, resulting in prolonged inconvenience to students, residents, and commuters. During a site inspection held on Tuesday, Cortalim MLA Anthon Vas expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in restoring proper access to Vidyanagar and questioned officials on the status of the pending works. The inspection brought to light communication gaps and poor coordination between the concerned authorities, which have contributed to the delay. Taking a firm stand, Vas issued strict instructions to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and other concerned agencies to complete the access road works within the next 30 days. He stressed that residents and students cannot continue to suffer due to administrative lapses and lack of planning. The MLA warned that all departments must work in coordination to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe and that no further delays will be tolerated. He also assured local residents that he would personally follow up on the matter to ensure the deadline is met. The access road has remained a major concern for the local community, with repeated complaints regarding difficulties faced in reaching educational institutions and residential areas. Residents expressed hope that the MLA's intervention would finally lead to a permanent solution.
