Knutsford: Tales of War | Memories of World War II Oral History Project
This short documentary records the memories of four Knutsford residents who lived in the town through the Second World War. Presented by Val Dawson. Staring Bill Cowburn, Edith Chadwick, Enid Leigh and Tony Leadbeater. The video was commissioned by Knutsford Town Council with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. It includes archive footage from the Imperial War Museum (footage of para training in Tatton Park) and the North West Film Archive (colour footage of Knutsford in 1944) as well as archive material provided by Knutsford Heritage Centre.
