Crash Bandicoot 2 (N-Sane Trilogy) - Level 17: Diggin' It (Crystal/Double Gem)
Here's a reminder that Coco doesn't have a unique death animation for EVERYTHING in this game. Several things, but getting stung by bees feels more like an "angel" death to her compared to getting a nasty allergic reaction like Crash does. She can still dig into the red ground, and attacking makes her do a crazy breakdance from underground. Crash also does this too instead of spinning his arm. These "Bee-" based levels, by the way, actually feel harder to get through than in the PS1 version, and part of that is because the Piranha Plants' seed bombs have a big explosion radius, AND they can blow up and hurt you as soon as you touch them! Keep all of this in mind during your course towards getting both of this level's Gems at in one sitting. It won't be too easy, and I even get killed a few times just to pull this off right! Finally, you also can no longer use the harmless mines to slam incoming bees with your butt after the mines launch you in the air. REALLY finally, the mallet-wielding Lab Assistance have been redesigned to look more like a certain world-famous plumber (or ex-plumber, now?)... ---------- After getting two Crystals, and if you have used your Future!Coco to get the second one, she gets switched out for Crash as Present!Coco manages to talk to him through the hologram again on something rather distressing. Cortex is almost done with his space station, and Coco warns her brother of any tricks he my have up his sleeve with it. Again, you will NEVER be able to have the Hologram Coco talk to your playable Coco, because they are technically not supposed to see each other at all. In some cases, that would be a Time Paradox! ---------- (I kinda regret letting all of those deaths get recorded, but I was actually losing my patience with how much harder this level felt to get both of its Gems at once compared to PS1. It has nothing on the NEXT level, though...) ---------- Watch me survive the wrath of some bees in the PS1 version, here! I die less!: • Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - S...
