Little Nightmare is About CHILD ABUSE

Little Nightmares follows a small child named Six as she tries to escape the Maw, a massive, decaying vessel filled with grotesque adults who hunt and exploit children. As Six sneaks through its dark corridors, she’s plagued by an intense hunger that grows more disturbing the longer she survives. Her journey ends with her defeating the Lady, gaining her powers, and leaving behind the very creatures that once towered over her. At its core, the game is a metaphor for childhood trauma and survival in a cruel adult world. The Maw represents a system that feeds on innocence, while Six’s hunger symbolizes emotional neglect and desperation. By the end, Six escapes—but at the cost of her innocence, suggesting that surviving trauma can mean becoming shaped by it rather than escaping it entirely.
