The heavily redesigned 900 cc three-cylinder engine delivers 13 percent more power in the latest generation. Maximum power is now 108 hp, with peak torque at 90 Newton meters. The new engine is also said to offer better traction at lower revs. With its special T-plane crankshaft and staggered ignition intervals, the Tiger 900 retains its characteristic and unmistakable power delivery and unique sound. Despite the significantly increased power, fuel consumption is said to have been reduced by nine percent. The fuel tank capacity is a generous 20 liters. Optimized cornering ABS and traction control are standard equipment on all three Tiger 900 models. The effectiveness of these systems is influenced by the riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road.
