PS2 Longplay [026] Thunder Force 6

http://www.longplays.org Played by: Tsunao Shmup by Sega and last entry in the series. (unless one comes out ALL OF A SUDDEN!) Dunno about plot. Shmup = no plot. Japanese = no plot. Shmup + Japanese = DEFINITELY NO PLOT! Game is easy on Normal, default ship has ALL weapons, Overweapon is JUST PLAIN BROKEN (especially Back Fire), and the game is REALLY short (even the stages are really short. Stage 5 was pretty long.) There are also two more other ships: Rynex-R (which plays like traditional Thunder Force, where blowing up robs you of the CLAW and Blade/Free Range/Hunter weapon.) and Syrinx (the playable ship on Stage 6). Oh, and blowing up certain enemies with certain weapons yield more points (hence the x?)...I assume. There are 3 endings (as far as I seen): one from playing Easy or Kid difficulty, one from clearing with Phoenix, one from clearing with Rynex-R or Syrinx. Dunno about difficulty. There are no concrete info around the interwebz. For this run, I go through the game with Phoenix on Normal difficulty. I blow up a few times (last stage). Endings are stuffed at the end: Kid difficulty ending, Phoenix ending, and clearing the game with Syrinx. Don't mind any stuttering and freezing on cutscenes. That is the price one pays for not using an ACTUAL disc. (read: loading from USB HDD) I like the small chant that happens when you get to the boss. "Uche! Uche! Orn blah-blah-blah!"
