Sync Is Cheating... Or Is It?

My first #ScratchSunday video since I got my CDJ2000 Nexus's, clearly what ever I did was going to bring a tirade of abuse from trolls moaning "sync is cheating", "this isn't real DJ'ing", "real DJ's play vinyl", blah blah blah, simply at the sight of a sync button... So I decided to take the bull by the horns and show how you can use sync, and the rest of the new feature on the CDJ2000 Nexus to some cool effect! In no other industry do people complain about evolution of technology. Do you see graphic artists up in arms when the new photoshop is out with improved work flow? Or photographers kicking off at Canon because they made a new camera that lets them take better photos? Yes, you can use sync to effortless mix any two tracks together, but that is not all DJ'ing is! It's a minute, basic detail, and if all you have have above an aspiring DJ is the fact that you can make two records play at the same tempo, you have bigger issues to worry about :P Enjoy the evolution of technology and let it inspire you to do things that weren't possible before rather than sitting an moaning about it. Innovation will never cease, if you stop pushing forward, expect to be left behind :)
