Soft Vein, a darkwave project from Milwaukee, WI, was founded in 2022 by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Keaton Khonsari. The project blends shimmering synths, pulsing basslines, and melancholic vocals to create a modern take on post-punk, coldwave, and synthpop. With emotionally resonant lyrics and an immersive sound, Soft Veins quickly gained a following among fans of the darkwave and alternative electronic scenes. Their music channels both vintage influences and contemporary sensibilities, offering a fresh voice within the genre. After releasing their debut album Gossamer in 2023 and a series of singles, Soft Veins embarked on a U.S. tour in 2024, supporting acts like Twin Tribes and Wingtips. In 2025, the project continues to perform select dates across North America and Europe, bringing its evocative live show to new audiences.
