I have always wanted to visit South America and thought Peru would be a great mix of Spanish culture and nature. Overall, the hike was really fun. There are a lot of different options to get to Machu Picchu that vary in the number of days and difficulty. This is probably one of the, if not the hardest way to get the Machu Picchu because you have to go through the Salkantay pass, which is 15,190 feet.
