2020 Volvo S60 R-Design review | Australia

Simone reviews the 2020 Volvo S60 T5 in the R-Design trim and it is supposed to be a huge leap from the previous S60. The T5 R-Design we reviewed has a 2 L four-pot with a turbo that produces 192 kW of power and 400 Nm of torque. Those are Australian numbers since R-Design here stands for the Polestar-tampered version. This particular one reaches 100 in 6.4 seconds, tops out at 240 km/h and all that while officially consuming 7.3 L per 100 km. Other than the S60 T5 R-Design we reviewed there are other engine options that include a T6 and a T8 Plug-In Hybrid. The T8 is a performance-oriented hybrid with a 2 L turbocharged and supercharged engine which gives 246 kW of power and an electric motor with 65 kW more. The R-Design S60 with this T5 engine costs $64,990, but this particular car adds the mentioned Premium Pack and special paint for a total of $71,490.
