HYUNDAI 2.0 P0014 + P0017?!?! | Timing Chain, CVVT, and Camshaft Replacement | Issue Explained!
This video we tackle a common issue with these Hyundai 2.0 Theta II engines. The exhaust CVVT sprocket has a dowel pin that shears off in the camshaft causing the engine to go out of time. This can cause drivability, and starting issues. It will also cause a P0014 - 'B' Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1) and a P0017 - Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor B) code to set in the engine computer.
