#MuseumPassion - Knitting Sheaths
We’re excited to be taking part in BBC’s #MuseumPassion. To celebrate this we’re showcasing some of our Beamish favourites, including Mr Kerrison’s cold creams, knitting sheaths and our 165-year-old steam winding engine. We’ll be posting a series of videos of members of staff explaining what their most-loved items are and we want you to share your favourites too! First up is Helen explaining why she loves the knitting sheaths we have in the museum collection... Will it be the miner’s lamp, Pockerley gardens, Jubilee Confectioners, Co-op ball cash-carrying system, the coal-fired fish and chips, The 1900s Town park or the Suffragettes and everything they stood for? Be sure to post your comments and pictures below – we would love to see them all! Our other Social Media pages: Facebook: / beamishlivingmuseum Instagram: / beamish_museum Twitter: / beamish_museum
