Texas High School Football | Cedar Hill vs Allen | Friday Night Lights ALLEN — Allen, ranked No. 4 in Class 6A, had to wait 2 hours, 20 minutes for the lightning to clear before they could kick off their game against Cedar Hill. Before the first quarter was over, Allen had a 28-0 lead and was on the way to a 38-0 victory in a nondistrict game at Eagle Stadium. A second round of lightning brought play to a halt at the end of the second quarter and the game was finally called off. Allen got themselves on the board against Cedar Hill on Friday, but Cedar Hill never followed suit. They blew past the Longhorns 38-0. The Eagles have beaten the Longhorns the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Longhorns has come to flipping the script. Allen's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Cedar Hill, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. LeBron Bauer’s 12-yard return of a blocked punt for a touchdown with two seconds in the first quarter was the final touch in the lopsided opening 12 minutes. During that first quarter, Allen’s defense held Cedar Hill to just one first down (by penalty) and minus 45 yards rushing. Allen’s defensive line of Tim Drake. Josh Shaw, Devin Palmer, Beckham Parker and Caleb Johnson were dominating all night long. They combined with linebackers Major Miller and Ja’Prei Wafer to hold Cedar Hill to minus 23 yards rushing. Bauer also had an interception while fellow defensive back KD Mitchusson had two big tackles for losses. If you enjoy sports content SUBSCRIBE to BANG MEDIA TX.
