Fenglire and Smilevi, Strange Times by Ashley Rollins
The melody for this came to me on the drive back from a gig in Amarillo, and when I got home and started trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it, I realized it was definitely inspired by music from Xena. That music itself is based heavily on Bulgarian folk music, especially Kaval Sviri, so I listened to a lot of Bulgarian folk music and dances to get inspiration for the rest of the piece.
