One of the greatest opera singers of the 20th century, the Bulgarian born soprano Raina Kabaivanska is known as one of the best Tosca and Madamme Butterfly. This time she meets the immortal primadonna Emilia Marty in the Leos Janacek's opera "The Case of Makropulos". For the first time the last opera of Janacek is performed in Italian on the stage of Teatro Comunale Bologna. The documentary is focused on the interesting meeting of "the unique diva, eternal woman, born primadonna " Kabaivanska, who lives on the stage more than 40 years with the primadonna Marty tired of living more than 300 years. On the first night performance we experience the event from the stage and through the director Luca Ronconi, the conductor Christian Thielemann, the critics, fans and Kabaivanska.
