In June of 2023, Christian Edition visited upstate New York, and between services, visited The Hiram Edson and William Miller farms. The early Advent Hymn sung here was one of James White's favorites, and he frequently opened meetings by singing it spiritedly as he strode down the center aisle of the church where he was speaking. The rocky outcropping on which the singers are standing is the historic "Ascension Rock" on which believers gathered on October 22, 1844 to wait for Jesus' return. When He did not appear, the day became known as the Great Disappointment.
