So in this video, I wanted to try and build the most affordable and compact shed possible. Although I was hoping to build the shed for around $500 dollars in materials, it just wasn’t possible without cutting corners (and I wasn’t comfortable with that!). The actual cost for the lumber was around $650 but there are additional costs associated with the roofing and foundation… I was hoping it would be cheaper, but that’s unfortunately just the way things are now. The good news is that I created completely FREE Building Plans (https://atimprovements.com/how-to-bui...) for this shed which include: The materials list (so you know exactly what lumber and quantities you need to order) The cut list (All dimensions and cuts are clearly outlined so that you don’t have to do any math!) Assembly instructions so that you can assemble the shed easily. Although the following tools are not 100% needed for this project, they will make building the shed a lot easier: Framing Nailer: https://amzn.to/4aIZuAS Speed Square: https://amzn.to/4yh8t6i Drill: https://amzn.to/4pfq9uM Circular Saw: https://amzn.to/4gxVTcC Reciprocating Saw: https://amzn.to/4pePFAt Below are the Steps to Build this Shed: 1. Prepare the Area and Build the Foundation Remove any vegetation, rocks, etc. from the area where you plan to build the shed and dig down around 2”. Compact the soil and place around 2” of stone backfill. After compacting the stone, position the Bison Level Up Foundation pedestals in place and ensure that each pedestal is level. 2. Frame the Shed Using the free cut list, cut all of the lumber to size and assemble the shed base, walls, etc. Attach all of the lumber together using a framing nailer (or similar) . 3. Build the Shed Place the shed base on the foundation pedestals and nail the plywood subfloor to the foundation frame. Lift the shed walls into place and nail them to the shed floor. Cut the roof rafters to size and screw them to the top plate of the front and back walls. Attach the plywood roof decking and attach the LP Smartsiding panels to the shed walls. 4. Build the Shed Door Using the provided shed plans, build the shed door as shown. Use a shim to slightly elevate the door from the shed floor and attach the door to the front wall of the shed with hinges. Install a shed latch (if desired). 5. Install the Shed Roofing For this shed, I installed metal roofing. However, I recommend that you install asphalt shingles on your shed since that is both a cheaper and simpler installation. For more information on installing asphalt shingles on a shed roof, check out my YouTube video linked here: 6. Install Shed Ramps. For my last shed, I built the shed ramps completly from scratch. Here is a link to that video where I show the entire process for building a shed ramp:    • How to Build a Simple SHED RAMP (Step-by-S...  . But for this shed, I decided to use some high quality aluminum shed ramps that I got from Shedramps.com (https://shedramps.com/?ref=Andrew10). Use code Andrew10 for 10% off! Although this is a smaller shed, it is perfect for storing my large tools and materials (like my powerwasher and jackhammer) that I don't use very often. In the video, I note that you could potentially build and sell this shed as a side hustle. Although I doubt this business model will make you rich, I think you definitily could make a few thousand dollars by building this shed for around $700 and selling it for $1,800. Let me know if you make some money! If you liked this video, check out my 10'x10' Modern Shed Build Series (   • How to Build a Modern Shed  . I put in some pretty cool features in this shed (epoxy floor, etc.) so definitely check it out!
