Built over ten straight days of obsessive, around-the-clock work, producer and ambient musician Black Swan (aka Drones for Bleeding Hearts) pays a tribute to both Boards of Canada and the Wu Tang Clan. The music of Boards of Canada serves as the foundation for every track, while members of Wu-Tang's vocals are meticulously woven into entirely new musical settings. This is not a DJ mix. The original recordings were deconstructed into their individual musical elements, then painstakingly reassembled, remixed, and reshaped into entirely new compositions through meticulous editing, spatial layering, and sequencing, with instrumentation and dialog additions. Every track is a true reconstruction, crafted from the ground up to preserve the spirit of both artists while creating something unmistakably new.
