Antarctica: What to Pack?

In this video, filmed while Viking Polaris was crossing Drake Passage, Viking's Ambassador at Large, Jean Newman Glock, shows what she packed for her journey to the White Continent. She asked us to add the following note: This video was filmed prior to our arrival in Antarctica. As you will see, I packed many layers and was prepared for very cold temperatures, but the reality of our visit was sunny days, with only one day with chilly winds that required so many layers. One evening, with the sun still shining at 10 pm, I was comfortable on deck in just a sweater. Be prepared for cold weather, but be prepared to be surprised if you are blessed with warmer temps.
