We bring you the Tokyo premiere of "Treasure Island"! This film is an adaptation of Shindo Junjo's Naoki Prize-winning novel about the "Senka Agiya," a group of people in Okinawa after the Pacific War who shared supplies stolen from U.S. military bases with local residents. One night, the leader of the Senka Agiya attacks the base and goes missing, and his remaining comrades try to solve the mystery of his disappearance. Directed by Otomo Keishi, known for the "Rurouni Kenshin" series. The cast includes Tsumabuki Satoshi and Kubota Masataka, who have appeared in "A Certain Man," Hirose Suzu, who has appeared in "The Wandering Moon," and Nagayama Eita, who has appeared in "The Monster." ~Synopsis~ After the Pacific War, under the rule of GHQ, Okinawa was home to a group of young people known as "Senga Agiyar," who distributed supplies seized from American military bases and other locations to the needy. At the center of this group were childhood friends On, Gusuku, Yamako, and Rei, with On, the eldest, acting as their leader. One night, after gaining unexpected rewards during a base raid, On suddenly disappears. Over the years, the remaining three become police officers, elementary school teachers, and gangsters, each with their own personal thoughts as they investigate the mystery of On's disappearance.
