Your Shaft is Too Long You Say!
This offering is all about cutting a brand new steering column in half, slicing 65 millimeters out of its length and welding it back together! The “IDIDIT” branded component is a very good replication of a generic version of a Chevrolet tilt steering column. Unfortunately it was just slightly too long for the final geometry in the street rod its going into so I did a quick snip and trim and Tig. I must apologize for finding out at the end that my installation tool is missing in action and I needed to get the part back to the builder. The correct tool is needed to compress the horn ring spring to get the snap ring on.
