Elizabeth's Journey with Microvascular Disease
At 39 Elizabeth suddenly found herself struggling to breathe and battling severe chest pain. For over a year doctors told her it was asthma, anxiety and depression. Finally she was properly diagnosed with coronary microvascular disease and endothelial dysfunction. Basically the micro vessels in her heart didn't work properly and were becoming clogged. For the next three years Elizabeth struggled with allergies to medications and foods to treat her condition. She volunteers with Go Red For Women and speaks out to raise awareness since more women have MVD then men.
