Le Train des Pignes - September 2023

Whilst on holiday in France we made a pleasant Sunday excursion to visit and film the Train des Pignes up in the hills above Nice. The train runs on the metre gauge Chemin de Fer de Provence line featuring 1923 built Mallet no.E211 which was owned by Portugeuse Railways. The train operates during the summer months between Puget - Theniers and Annot and the video sees the train at various locations on both the outward and return journeys. All footage is hand held so a few bumps and bobbles. The video was filmed on a warm and sunny Sunday September 10th.2023. Thanks to the G.E.C.P. association who operate the steam trains over the line.
