Lattafa Masa review projection and longevity

Lattafa Masa from their Pride series, and this one is definitely not a blind buy. The notes include mango, saffron, pink pepper, and lemon up top, violet leaf, osmanthus, orange blossom, and ginger in the middle, then mineral notes, suede, amber, and patchouli in the base. On paper it came across very clean and synthetic — like a fresh laundry detergent with mango, lemon, and ginger, plus a crisp, almost green edge. On skin it shifted noticeably, bringing out a metallic/mineral quality that felt sharp and dry alongside the saffron and leather. It’s intense and very masculine right from the start. After wearing it a few times, I found it interesting but polarizing. The opening is crisp, spicy, and clean with a striking saffron-leather edge, while the oud and mineral notes give it a dry, mature character. It’s not sweet or crowd-pleasing — it feels like something a serious, older guy would wear to the office or a formal setting. Performance is decent with good projection for the first few hours and solid longevity, but I went nose-blind to it fairly quickly, which was disappointing. It’s best for cooler weather and definitely leans hyper-masculine. Overall, Lattafa Masa is a bold, crisp, dry fragrance with a unique mineral-leather-saffron profile that stands out from their usual sweet stuff. If you like mature, striking, non-sweet masculine scents with oud and leather, this could be a winner. However, it’s not mass-appealing and definitely not blind-buy safe — the dry, metallic edge will turn a lot of people off. At the price it’s worth sampling if this style appeals to you, but it’s a niche taste even within Lattafa’s lineup. It’s different and has character, which I respect, but it’s not something I reach for often. If you’ve tried it and loved it, let me know — I’d be curious to hear other experiences. 0:00 - Intro & Lattafa Masa Unboxing 0:59 - Notes Breakdown 2:19 - Paper vs Skin Impressions 4:59 - Dry Down & Performance 7:34 - Final Thoughts & Recommendation
