How to Transfer Into a Handcycle

I've been paralyzed for almost 22 years and for at least 19 of those years I didn't do any kind of recreational activities. I didn't know how to swim, I didn't play any sports, I didn't cycle or ski. I didn't even ATTEMPT any activities because I was TOO AFRAID to transfer into a bike or onto a piece of workout equipment, etc. Over the last few years I have made it a priority to be as active as possible and it has been the best decision of my life. I wish I could turn back the clock and do all of the things that I was too afraid to do earlier. Handcycling feels like freedom to me.
