LibreOffice Base Split Database Tutorial

Here I explain a real world data processing example using a LibreOffice base split database with Sql and Text Tables to import and transform an Excel File containing 104,916 rows of data to 365 rows without using programming code. In this video you'll learn how to create a Libre Office Split Database (which is much faster and more stable than the standard embedded database). I show you how to 1) Get the Split Database wizard 2) Create the split database 3) Convert an existing Excel File to CSV text file for importing into LibreOffice base, I do this with both Excel and LibreOffice Calc 4) How to use SQL to create a LibreOffice Base text table to create a "live" link to the text table. 5) How to create a duplicate table using sql in order to copy the data from the live linked table into a standard non linked table (using an insert select sql query) 6) How to split out a date column to isolate the day and the time in seperate fields using sql update statements. 7) Create an output table to export the data out of LibreOffice base to a "report" csv file" so that the result can be read in LibreOffice base, Calc or Microsoft Excel.
