If on Day -4 I was already feeling the cumulative effects of chemotherapy, today my body took its toll even more intensely. The nausea came on strong, weakness set in, and I could barely do anything but rest, hydrate, and focus on getting through this difficult day, one minute at a time. I want to share this side of the treatment because the cure for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) isn't a straight line of daily victories. There are days when our only mission is to resist in silence and let the body do its work.
