An operation led by Omar García Harfuch resulted in the search of several ranches linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), an action that ultimately dismantled what remained of El Mencho's personal assets after his downfall. The properties, located in hard-to-reach areas of the Jalisco mountains, functioned as underground vaults where cash, gold, jewelry, and the cartel's financial documents were stored. The Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection, in coordination with the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) and the National Guard, carried out a simultaneous operation that resulted in the arrest of security personnel and the complete seizure of the assets. The findings suggest that the new leadership of the CJNG, internally known as El 03, was attempting to use this inheritance as capital to reorganize the cartel's structure after the fall of its founder.
