Loyola School, Telco Celebrates Excellence at 6th Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony Loyola School, Telco celebrated its 6th Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony with great enthusiasm and pride, marking a historic milestone as the school honoured the achievements of its first-ever ICSE batch. The event served as a celebration of academic excellence, perseverance, leadership, and holistic development. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Parul Singh, former Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Adityapur Municipal Corporation and an officer of the Jharkhand Administrative Service, graced the occasion. The programme commenced with a prayer dance presented by the students, creating an atmosphere of reflection and inspiration. Students were recognized under various categories, including General Proficiency, Remarkable Improvement, Golden Heart (Student for Others), and Resilience and Grit Awards. A vibrant fusion dance performance added colour to the celebration, while Gaurav Mahato, the first President of the School Student Council, shared his experiences of leadership and responsibility. A highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of the school’s first ICSE batch, with subject toppers receiving special recognition for their outstanding achievements. Students who excelled in the Press Club, Literary Club, Bio Club, Interact Club, Jyoti Club, Art Club, Music, Dance, General Knowledge, and Sports were also honoured with the Principal’s Awards. Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Parul Singh encouraged students to dream big, face challenges with courage, and become responsible citizens. She emphasized that success is built on consistency, hard work, determination, and an unwavering spirit to pursue one’s goals. She also urged parents to teach children resilience, respect teachers, and serve as positive role models. The prestigious ICSE Batch Topper Award was presented to Jishan Som for securing the highest marks in the board examinations. The coveted Mr. Loyola Award was conferred on Lakshya Verma in recognition of his exemplary leadership, discipline, confidence, and all-round development. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Principal Mrs. Charanjeet Ohson. A moving Candle Song and the school anthem, Loyola Anthem, brought the memorable event to a fitting close. Among those present were Rector Fr. Michael, Fr. Oscar Horo, Administrator Fr. Gerry DSouza, Principal Mrs. Charanjeet Ohson, Vice-Principals - Mrs. Reshma Rodrigues, Ms. Zeenat Maria Sundi, and Moderator Ms. Colleen Xavier, whose presence added dignity to the occasion.
