Saddest Stray Dog Waited 2 Years For This Moment

This dog lived in the yard of a warehouse when she got hit by a truck. The employees from that place took her to a clinic where she underwent surgery, having a metal plate inserted to hold the fractured bones. But a few months later the warehouse closed and everyone left, abandoning the dog there. She found shelter at a nearby gas station, a place crowded with hundreds of people daily. They called her Fetita (meaning "little girl") She could have been rescued and adopted. But that didn't happen. Instead, Fetita was hit again by a car, causing hip luxation and displacement of the metal implant. She was left in excruciating pain. Barely able to walk. For 2 years. At our shelter she underwent surgery to have the mammary tumors removed and get spayed, and now we are preparing her for the trip to Germany where she will undergo the leg surgery. Her rescue was possible thanks to the support of Sandra and Gero from Tierschutz-Streuner and the wonderful people who donated for her.
