Will we manage to complete this very high-altitude trek without a guide and completely self-sufficient, carrying packs weighing 13 and 20 kg? We're starting our trek in the Markha Valley at 3900 m altitude, and on the first day we have to cross a very high mountain pass (5260 m) to meet the mountain people, the Ladakhis. At this altitude, there's 50% less oxygen, and Jerry is about to experience the most challenging trek of his life. Before embarking on this trek in "Little Tibet," we spent a week acclimatizing in Leh, the capital of Ladakh, at 3500 meters altitude in the heart of the Himalayas. And don't forget our previous video where we hitchhiked 500 km in 4 days, traveling on some of the highest roads in the world.
