He’s earned seven of eight wins by finish in the first frame and his all-around game surely has the UFC radar pinging! Jack grew up in Bolton, just north of Manchester, idolizing the famous boxer Brit Ricky Hatton. Although his heart belonged to boxing, his mind became firmly entrenched with the wrestling game. His passion for grappling and later fighting consumed him and left no time for the English pastime sports, soccer or rugby. Jack Cartwright knew he wanted to round his game out and become a mixed martial artist. He supplemented training at his home base of Saul Rogers MMA Academy and learned Jiu-Jitsu at SBG Manchester. After a fantastic undefeated amateur career, Jack hit the road and drove on to the professional ranks in the regional promotions of England. After jumping out to a 5-0 record complete with five first-round finishes, Jack Cartwright vaulted up to the top British fight promotion Cage Warriors. In his first night of fights, Jack knocked out two foes in a four-man tournament for the bantamweight championship. The greatest night of his career made him a combat star at home, now he’s looking for bigger and better.
