Ibanez Layer Delayer FX Pedal | First Look, Sounds Only!

In this sound-only demo, Alex from our Pedals & Accessories department explores the Ibanez Layer Delayer, focusing strictly on how the pedal shapes and layers delay signals — no talking, just sound. Unlike traditional tape echoes, the Layer Delayer generates 16th-note and triplet delay signals, each with independent volume control. This design allows rhythmic delay signals to interact, overlap, and evolve, creating everything from subtle movement to complex, syncopated patterns. The TONE and FILTER controls let you sculpt the character of the delay signal as it transitions between digital delay, analog-style delay, and tape echo tones. The simulated low-pass ladder filter, variable tail decay, and auto-panning modes further shape the motion and depth of the delay signal in stereo space. This demo also highlights the FX loop, which allows external effects to be inserted directly into the delay signal path, opening up additional sound-design possibilities without affecting the dry signal. 🎛️ Sound only. No narration. No deep dives. Just a very first look the pedal right when it landed in the shop!
