Honda xl250s engine restoration (part 1)
1978 Honda xl250s has a leak from the final drive oil seal. part 1 of the series covers removal of engine through to cam shaft removal. I am not a mechanic and so this may be a slow and at times tedious strip down and re build but I have had to work through the process by feel armed only with a copy of the Haynes manual and the recordings I made of the tear down. the recordings proved invaluable during the reassembly as I could refer to them when needed and needed they were. my memory is terrible and I bagged and labelled every part and sub assembly and again I can highly recommend using cheap resealable freezer bags. I don't think I could have done this project if I hadn't been organised.
