Портак (RUS) - Парализованные дети (1995) (emo, indie rock, post-hardcore)

Portak (Rus. Portak) was punk rock band from Neryungri active from 1990 to 1995. The group changed lineup and style during life period: only permanent member was guitarist Alexei Nemchinov (Rus. Алексей Немчинов) also known as Карфан. The first iteration aside Nemchinov was include bassist Constanin Li (Rus. Константин Ли) and drummer Alexander Horev (Rus. Александр Хорев) and they were playing hardcore punk with post-punk influences. After line-up changes when new musicians as vocalist Marina Trubnikova (Rus. Марина Трубникова), guitarist Roman Naumov (Rus. Роман Наумов) and bassist Denis Dudov (Rus. Denis Dudov) joined, band style shifted to post-punk and goth rock. As far as I can tell the group sound mutated to indie rock and post-hardcore by the end of it activity which traced on their last live performance. «Paralizovanyi Deti» (Eng. Paralyzed Children, Rus. Парализованный дети) was presented on band’s final show performed in a professional development school in our days known as Южно-Якутский технологический колледж. Maybe it had been performed before their last concert, but I don’t have any information about that. I can call this song one of the first example Russian emo or maybe proto-emo before Marschak, Unconform and even Картонка with Боль в разлуке. I guess nobody tried to wrote emo song purposely and «Paralizovanyi Deti» is result of band uncompleted musical evolution from post-punk to soft version of post-hardcore. Somebody might say that my sentence is far-fetched. I can answer: OK. I think some other Russian post-punk bands like Каспар Хаузер (Moscow) and Сны (Saint-Petersburg) were near to proto-emo style before Portak, but this one certain song sounds like it came from future (from 2015 with midwest emo revival, actually). I hope I can tell about more about Portak in near future. Source (23:25):    • Портак 1995г Последний концерт 2 часть
