This time I walked around the shopping street in Sunagawa City, Hokkaido, Japan. This street is named "Sunagawa Sweet Road", and as the name suggests, there are many sweets and bakery shops. Recently, the number of fashionable cafes has been increasing. In addition, the number of restaurants where you can eat "Sunagawa Pork Chap", a local gourmet here, is increasing. It used to be a city that prospered with coal mines, but I feel that it has been successfully regenerated as a city that fully demonstrates the food culture that supported the coal mine man with food.
