BLYTHEDALE MARKET // Episode 3 ll North Coast, South Africa

We were very excited to make the trip out to Blythedale Coastal Market for their prawn fest. The market is about a 30 minute drive from Ballito, with a few kilometres on a gravel road, which can be driven on in any car. The venue definitely has the best view we've ever seen from any market. Our favourite feature of this market is the beach bar, Grumpy's Beach Bar, which is nestled in the coastal forest. We opted to sit on the benches on the beach, which had shaded cover. There are a lot of yummy food stalls. We were very hungry and couldn't wait for more rice at the prawns stand, and had delicious schwarmas instead. There is plenty of shaded seating to enjoy your food, with live music as entertainment. It definitely seemed like the kids had the best time at this market, with all the slides, jumping castles, etc. This market is definitely worth the drive and a fun morning or afternoon out with friends or family.
