Diejiao, formerly known as Shuangxi, is a small community located in Foshan, Guangdong, the core city of the Pearl River Delta. However, one thing has remained unchanged: the tradition of dragon boat racing during the Dragon Boat Festival. The history of dragon boat racing here dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, when there were only seven dragon boats. Today, in the 21st century, all 18 villages have dragon boats.
