From the life of the Smurfs This predominantly black and white series (only the last two episodes were in colour) was produced in Belgium by TV Animation Dupuis long before the well-known American animated series The Smurfs from the 1980s. Each episode is approximately 13 minutes long - the first five episodes are based on the Peyo comic stories published in the same year. In addition, a 90-minute feature film followed in Belgium in 1965, which is a compilation of five episodes of the series.
