In this video, we travel from Rio de Janeiro to Ilha Grande, a tropical island in the Brazilian Atlantic covered in Atlantic rainforest and rich in biodiversity. I'll explore it in search of a small primate the size of a squirrel, the titi monkey. To do this, I hike to its most beautiful beach, crossing the rainforest along a trail that starts from Abraão, where most of the accommodations on Ilha Grande are located. The route takes you past three coves, culminating at Lopes Mendes, the island's scenic gem and best beach, as well as one of the wildest and most beautiful beaches in all of Brazil. There are several ways to reach this beach, which I explain in detail in the video. One option is by speedboat, and it's wise to be aware of the different choices, as the weather on a tropical island can be unpredictable.
