Downsizing is a 2017 science-fiction comedy-drama satire directed by Alexander Payne (Sideways, The Descendants). In this clip, amputee political activist and prison survivor Ngoc Lan Tran (Hong Chau) makes her case to Paul (Damon), Dusan (Waltz) and Joris (Kier) of why she wants to go to Norway. American actress and filmmaker Hong Chau garnered critical acclaim for her tremendous performance as Ngoc Lan, earning Best Supporting Actress nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Golden Globe Awards and the Critics Choice Awards. Hong Chau's previous work includes a scene-stealing turn as Jade in Paul Thomas Anderson's 'Inherent Vice', as well as other work in 'Treme' and HBO's 'Big Little Lies'.
