This simple video shows with details how to remove the Center Console on your Fifth Generation ( 2011, 2012, 2013 etc... ) Ford Explorer. This is made to help you access the cup holders, terrain control switch, center compartment (glove) box. Other videos show a lot of things to be removed, but I've discovered an easy way.
