Day Ahead - 6 July
With the U.S. markets closed on Friday for the Independence Day holiday, the local market looks like beginning the week negatively with ASX futures down 0.4%. Global stocks rounded out their best weekly performance in two months on Friday after a weak U.S. jobs report dampened the prospects of imminent interest rate hikes. That saw the US dollar ease, while gold rose.
