Welcome to Petite Garden, where we explore traditional knots. Today, we will create one of the basic traditional knots, the ‘Ear Knot’. All you need is knotting cord, an awl, a needle with a ring (or a needle for embroidery), and scissors. The Ear Knot is a variation of the Cord Knot with added "ears". It looks the same from both sides, and while it may seem simple, the key is in neatly tightening the central Cord Knot, which can be challenging for beginners. If you’ve made the Cord Knot before, you should be able to follow along easily, so give it a try! At first, you might feel frustrated if the shape doesn’t come out right, but don’t worry—if it goes wrong, you can always undo it and try again. So, let’s proceed step by step :)
