ARAK-MADU (short uluwatu movie)

Arak madu is a traditional Balinese cocktail made from arak : a clear spirit distilled from fermented coconut palm sap, with roots going back to the Majapahit era (13th century). Deeply embedded in Balinese culture, it was officially legalized in 2020 and recognized as Indonesian Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2021. This edit is a reference to this Balinese spirit, the island where I spend a few months every winter.
