Getting good visibility for diving | Freediving through swim-throughs
Welcome back to Ocean Chan Freediving. I have been away for a few weeks. October has been a very busy month for me and the conditions have changed dramatically in Sydney. It is common for the dive conditions to deteriorate after winter and into October. On most days I have been able to go out, there have been strong currents causing murky and dangerous water as well as poor weather generally. This week I will discuss some tips on making sure you get good visibility on your next dive as well as showcase some murky water dives. Personally, I check the following things before I plan a dive. I make sure its a day with good weather, there is a low swell and there hasn't been any heavy rain in the lead up to the dive day. I also have two dives, one from Freshwater Beach and the other from Oak Park. These two sites are usually quite good to dive at in Sydney, but on these occasions there was low vis - only 3-4 metres. At Oak Park, I did find a small swim through, which was interesting to navigate through. If you enjoyed the video, please like, subscribe, comment and share!
