O Atendimento a Crianças e Adolescentes Vítimas de Violência no CREAS: Limites e Potencialidades

This video is part of the "SUAS: Possibilities for Intervention" track of Module 2 of the "Training for the Network of Care for Victims of Violence" course, which is part of the Ludotecas Program of the Sabin Institute. The course presents concepts, theories, laws, methodologies, and resources for working in the context of violence and is designed for professionals who work with victims of violence, focusing on the development of ludotheca professionals, who work together in a coordinated manner to provide care to people in situations of violence. The "SUAS: Possibilities for Intervention" track addresses the functioning and structure of the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS), its levels of care, its functions, and the care provided by the CREAS to children, adolescents, and women victims of violence, considering its limitations and possibilities. The CREAS, or Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance, has among its functions the care of children and adolescents who are victims of violence. In this video, psychologist Rebecca Ribeiro explains how to observe signs that may reveal violence against children and adolescents, highlighting the professional's role and subjectivity. She also demonstrates how to adapt resources such as the genogram and the social atom to the reality of children. The Ludotecas Program was created in 2008 with the goal of improving the services provided by professionals working in the violence response network in the areas of health, justice, social assistance, and public safety. A Ludoteca is a specially designed room, equipped with various educational materials such as toys, games, books, and play resources. In addition, the space is air-conditioned and offers adequate privacy for listening, hearing, or providing therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and families who are victims of violence. Currently, the Program operates in two ways: through the donation of goods and services to furnish the physical space and the provision of ongoing training, through an online course, for professionals in the violence response network.
