Celebrating Onam with family in Kerala - we missed the cultural programs but had the best sadya

Onam is considered the biggest festival for Malayali people all over the world. It is the most important festival in the southern Indian state of Kerala. The past two years we couldn't witness much of the festivities because of the lockdowns, so this year we were super excited about it. We went to Pent restaurant on the Payyanur Kasargod highway for sadya - a lunch feast. We were surprised to find that on the main day of the festival there wasn't much to witness as most people spend the last day with family at home.
